Beautiful, stunning and irresistible. Purchased from a lovely woman in Texas who wore it for her "Coming Out" party sometime in the 1940-50's.
There are no makers tags or fabric content information, however it appears to be either a very fine cotton lawn and/or lightweight, sheer silk. It is nicely tailored, custom-made piece. The only thing that keeps it from being a couture piece is the lining which has unfinished seams facing out, but not visible when worn. Fully lined with silky white fabric. This dress would look incredible worn with a crinoline.
Condition: It has been worn only once and has no visible flaws. There are a couple of small holes on the skirt that should be repaired before wearing. I found them once, but cannot find them again, so not really a problem. It has been soaked and is once again brilliant white.
