Pretty little French country rustic bowl with hand-painted stylized floral decoration. Colors are brown, teal blue, green and yellow on a deep orange to ochre ground. Exterior is unglazed. Squiggle line accent at the lip.
Purchased from a seller in the French countryside. It "feels" like other French pieces I have bought and sold but its original provenance are unknown, could be from anywhere in Europe.
Great antique condition with nice character. No cracks, but some glaze misses and minor chips.
This bowl is a typical European country kitchen utilitarian piece used for many things. They look lovely as a set, I have a number of similar pieces listed.
Not to be used for serving food. Wash using warm (not hot) water and mild soap.
Measurements: 2.25 inches high and 6.375 inch diameter
