Pristine set of four antique (approximately 1911-1921, see below) Japanese small plates.
Medium weight porcelain with a rim decorated in the moriage method, a raised design made with slip and then accented with gold. Colors are metallic gold, russet or rust, creamy yellow beige, and light blue on a bright white ground. Beautifully hand-painted.
Back stamped in green with an "M" in a wreath which indicates the importer, Morimura Brothers. "Hand Painted" and "Nippon" also in the mark. These plates were manufactured sometime between 1911-1921 based on the mark.
Measurements: 6.25 inches
Condition is excellent, no flaws found.
