Sweet little antique plate, loose depiction of flowers in pink and green with a light blue ribbon intertwined with leaves and branches.
Backstamp: "Imperial Austria" and "Crown China" with a depiction of a crown and ribbon. This was the pottery mark of decorator/importer Bawo & Dotter. B&D bought blanks and had them decorated in their own workshops. This company was in business from 1883-1914.
The design appears to be applied with a combination of transfer design and hand painting.
Colors are saturated and clean.
Condition: a very sad hairline crack that radiates from one edge but doesn't go all the way across the plate, flea bite on the rim, wear to the applied gold design.
Measures: 6 inch diameter
