Details
Antique Hans Jensen Danish silver plate, gold wash and repousse round box, possibly a coin box. There is a typical amount of tarnish on the exterior and the gold wash interior is bright and unscratched. No known date of manufacture, just sometime after 1910.
Design depicts a battle, a depiction that I assume someone from Denmark would be more familiar with. It is a large group of people carrying various tools of violence, pikes, muskets and swords. The scene is identical on both sides. Maybe the central character is wearing a mask that looks like a plague mask.
Marks: "SILVER PLATED" "DENMARK" and the Hans Jensen fish
Measurements: 3.5 inches in long, 1.25 inch diameter
Condition: excellent, no damage identified, kiss closure is tight
